"I had a lot of fun reading this book"
I had a lot of fun reading this book; it’s France and Paris as seen by an American who frequents certain places where an average Parisian does not necessarily have access (the Crillon for example). The presentation of the Vietnam war, the adventure with My Hanh, the anecdotes with Daniel Cohn-Bendit and the street demonstrations of May. . . it’s in no way an historical or political analysis, rather an evocation of the spirit of the time seen by an American.
